Where were all the XR enthusiasts at the beginning of November?

If you are one of them, the correct answer for you would be the AWE USA 2021 event... It was all about the Metaverse, exchanging XR expertise, and celebrating experiences with Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality… Nothing was an exception from this rule.

And we also joined the most valuable XR community to connect, learn, and grow the business, as well as to share something exciting about MATSUKO and about our Metaverse communication app.

At the AWE event, we were finally able to surprise visitors by showing them the MATSUKO app in action. Could you have ever imagined that 3D video calls would become a reality to be brought into the current race of building the Metaverse? Holographic communication was always thought of as a part of science fiction, but our team has already taken it out from the proof-of-concept level to the next level, where users gain a more immersive experience.

Attendees could see a smiley hologram of our Business Operation Manager, Stefania, next to MATSUKO’s CEO, Maria. We wanted to show how MATSUKO’s technology grants the ability to create highly realistic holograms during the calls, where all participants can enjoy communicating in their most natural manner.

And the key focus of this entire technology is on people, who can experience a revolution of communication. Whether you are a fan of Star Trek, Foundation, Altered Carbon, or Blade Runner — it can be your time to join MATSUKO’s early access program and find out how futuristic characters exist beyond your favorite movies…

There’s also a lot to be told about the AWE event itself, where some of the most cutting-edge topics were discussed by Niantic, Snap, and other XR industry leaders:

Qualcomm, one of MATSUKO’s partnering companies, was inviting the expo visitors to its booth with an exciting technology:

Tripp, one of MATSUKO’s friends from Hubraum tech incubator, participated with us in the XR meditation experience:

The Pinscreen CEO, Hao Li, commented that 3D communication is the future because it’s the most natural way of communicating for people. Many announcements were made, while virtualization appeared again as that big thing that is recognized as the next stage of the internet.

WebXR sessions were among the most exciting moments of the whole AWE event thanks to MATSUKO’s mentor — Terry xR. Schussler, Senior Director, Spatial Computing at Deutsche Telekom. And after more than a year of our Webex meetings, we were finally able to meet Terry in person!

While the latest mixed reality technologies and innovative best practices were shared, the Metaverse remained to be the focal point of many talks and panel discussions.

In his closing speech, one of the AWE organizers, Ori Inbar summarised that the XR industry was fully back into force after 893 days and had become stronger than it was before.

As for us, we will be looking forward to joining the AWE 2022 event next year! XR is finally here!
